Curie Technologies

Curie Technologies, is the brainchild of an exceptional human and business person, Anne Marie Pellerin (LAM LHA).

At first, the project appeared to be new website copy, but as we talked further, Anne Marie decided that I should interview her as I did for LAM LHA, and just write their story out. They’d never really given voice before to who they were or their reason for being or what made them a game-changer in security technology.

After I’d written three pages and reviewed it, I realized that this copy formed the foundation of everything they should and could say about themselves. Sure, it was long. But I realized it was Chunkable, meaning Anne Marie or any other Curie Technologies team member could take a headline from here, some body copy from there, a block from the ending, a sentence or two as a headline, and use these Chunks in their new website, presentation decks, etc.

I decided to call this format Foundational Brand Copy, and I suggest it for many clients who wish to undertake a brand refresh, or a total brand redo.

OK, here’s the short version of the petiteC story:

Security equipment owners and operators have been managing and maintaining their tech pretty much with Word, Excel, duct tape, prayers and crossed fingers. Until now, that is.

Introducing Curie Technologies

For an industry that strives to be buttoned down, tight & right, online and ontime, management of security equipment has been an absolute mess. Like a dysfunctional relationship. Nobody talks. Nobody shares. Owners of security tech don't know when to calibrate, what equipment's compliant and what isn't, and that's just the start of it. Service businesses are hustling here, there and everywhere at once, wasting time and money. And if you're an OEM, once a piece of security tech is out of your hands, distributing product info and bulletins and staying in touch with customers is complicated and expensive and largely hit and miss.

And nothing's been done about it. Until now. Curie Technologies s a brand-new platform that seamlessly connects every single piece of security tech to its owner, its manufacturer, its distributor and whoever's responsible for its maintenance. Saving time. Money. And improving security.

IT ALL STARTS WITH AN INNOCUOUS BUT POWERFUL LITTLE STICKER

Equipment owners and operators: this tag on a piece of your security tech inks you to the Curie website, which in turn connects you to an incredible richness of critically-important information about that particular piece of equipment. Is it online, when was it made, what's its uptime performance, when was it last serviced, is it compliant? Who made it, where's the operations guide, when do I need to service it, when do I need to replace it? Curie tells you all this and more, and automates all compliance and maintenance scheduling, simply, effectively, and efficiently.

Finally, owners of security tech can build their own data set, no longer relying on vendors or other departments’ reporting. Reduce operational risk ensuring they have working tech available in the places they need it most. And reduce costs through better preventative maintenance practices and more accountable vendors. Now, tech manufacturers can build a communication channel to your end customers, provide better information to your partners, and showcase your latest/greatest to a cultivated ecosystem of security tech nerds. For the first time, distributors and service & maintenance businesses can manage workflow against Service Level Agreements, monitor warranties and contract renewals and effortlessly share information with OEMs and customers.

But that's just a small taste of what petiteC delivers; significant value to owners/operators, OEMs and service and maintenance companies.

WE KNOW WHAT YOU'RE SAYING

You're saying, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, how's this different than the other asset management software out there, with the barcodes and the SAT systems?" And you're right. Almost all of you operators, service businesses and OEMs have SOME kind of software or database that contains updatable information about the equipment you own, operate, manufactured or service. Which is great. For you. But it doesn't play nice with the people who actually BUY your equipment. It doesn't talk to them. It leaves them out in the cold. Owners have no access to service records and schedules and other data that informs them of critically important information they need to keep their operations running efficiently and securely.

WANT TO KNOW HOW WE'RE DIFFERENT? HERE'S HOW WE'RE DIFFERENT

Curie Technologies was developed by security tech nerds, for security equipment and only security equipment: We don’t do generic.

Built-in preventative maintenance program: We know what’s required to keep your security tech humming.

Silo busters: We connect you with your vendor’s data so they don’t need to duplicate efforts.

Curie Tecnologies requires 30 minutes or less of training: Grandmother-proof.

THE STORY BEHIND THE INNOVATION

Until now, airports and courthouses, museums and security equipment owners/operators everywhere have been taking care of their tech pretty much with Word, Excel, duct tape, prayers and crossed fingers. We thought, "Somebody's got to do something about this. If people are spending gobs of money on a piece of security equipment, but they're not taking care of it and using it in the right way, then it's pointless to even have it because it's no longer providing the security it was intended to provide. Malfunctioning equipment could cost lives!"

Drumroll. Curie Technologies enters the chat. Curie is a web-based, centralized hub that provides tech owners, distributors and maintenance people everything they need to know about a piece of security equipment. It's powerful, robust, intelligent yet pretty much back-to-basics simple (and that's why nobody else wanted to develop something like it). We've worked hard to ensure that our tech is powerful and as easy to use as technology gets. Intuitively easy. No PhD needed, training is simple and takes less than 30 minutes. Our demo will blow. Your. Mind.

Curie Technologies protects the equipment that protects the people we care about; passengers, visitors, and those of us working the front lines of security.

WHAT'S WITH THE NAME?

A little story. During WW1, Marie Curie was unable to bring soldiers to back to hospitals to properly diagnose their injuries, so she loaded an x-ray machine into her car and drove it behind the lines. We loved Marie Curie's courageous spirit, innovative mind and her contribution to the development of polonium (integral to the invention of X ray equipment, eventually leading to the evolution of security detection technologies). We decided to honor her by naming our own little renegade breakthrough innovation, Curie Technologies.

AND WHAT'S NEXT?

Because of the connections we have, we learn the ins and outs and behind the scenes news of what's going on in the field; because of our network, we're always out there, ear to the ground asking questions of all these different players, in all these related sectors. "What's going to happen next? What are your pain points? What would you do to make things better, safer, more cost-efficient? We understand, we listen, we can predict and then we build it into Curie It's ever-evolving, and in time we believe it will become ubiquitous in the security sector.
